Important clarifications on the CSA B620-09 requirements for hose assembly marking, inspection and testing are outlined below.
CAAR has recently been made aware of necessary clarifications to the Nurse Tank Safety Program (NTSP) Quality Control Manual regarding hose assembly marking, inspection and testing, impacting lines on pages 9, 33, 35, 59, 70, 84 and 89 of Revision 5.3 of the manual.
Click here to access the summary table of pending changes to Revision 5.3 of the NTSP Quality Control Manual.
While CAAR makes every effort to ensure the Quality Control Manual is consistent to the Canadian Standards Association requirements, retailers and testing facilities registered with Transport Canada are responsible for ensuring they fully comply with all current applicable standards, including B620-09, and where applicable, B622-09. CAAR strongly recommends that facilities acquire copies of these standards and ensure they are fully versed in and compliant to these standards. Copies of the CSA standards may be purchased at shop.csa.ca.
Updates to the NTSP Quality Control Manual will be completed and distributed as soon as possible. However, please refer to B620-09 under section 7.2.10 for all hose assembly marking, inspection and testing requirements, and note the following summary of changes to the manual.
