CAAR participated in the PMRA/Health Canada technical briefing webinar on Dec. 13, joining dozens of participants seeking more information on the proposed re-evaluation decision to phase out the insecticide imidacloprid over a three year period.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is also hosting a multi-stakeholder forum to discuss this issue on Wednesday, Dec. 21. CAAR is in communication with the Canadian Seed Trade Association regarding the event and its outcomes.

The public has also been invited to submit written comments on the proposed re-evaluation decision. The consultation period is open for comment from 23 November 2016 to 21 February 2017.
