Fourteen Western Canadian agri-retailers announced on Sept. 15, 2017 the formation and launch of AgLink Canada, a strategic and commercial alliance with AgLink Australia.

With a number of challenges and changes occurring in the crop input sector, independent agri-retailers came together to create a meaningful market response. The leadership of the group looked for successful membership models and found AgLink Australia to be a leading global success story.

AgLink Australia is a collective of 16 independent Australian agri-retailers, with an input market share of $1.2 billion AUD. All 14 independent members of AgLink Canada will have immediate access to all intellectual property, managing systems, governance models and related-know how as part of this alliance.

Bill Dowdle, the CEO of AgLink Australia, will be moving to Canada as CEO to lead the successful establishment of the group. Dennis Bulani, CEO of The Rack, has been elected Chairman.
