Manitoba Open Farm Day is an annual, family-friendly event held at various sites across the province. Every year, on the third Sunday in September, farms and ag businesses open their doors to the public, giving them an opportunity to see how their food is produced, and learn more about environmental stewardship and the history of farming in the province. Taking part for the first time this year is one of the branches of Shur-Gro, a CAAR member.

The 2019 Precision Agriculture Dealership Survey is now available! CAAR encourages all members and non-members to take the survey, conducted by the University of Guelph, to help develop credible metrics on the state of development and adoption of precision agriculture techniques among Canadian ag retailers. The finalized Environmental Emergency Regulations, 2019 have been published in the Canada Gazette Part II and will come into force on August 24, 2019. Fertilizer Canada has released a technical bulletin to provide guidance on the major changes coming into effect and to provide clarity on changes to audited requirements of the Fertilizer Canada Codes of Practice.
