The value of Canada’s agri-retailers has never been more evident. It’s truly an exciting time to be a part of this industry and all of us at CAAR are looking forward to what the new year will bring.

Our team is most excited about the 2018 CAAR Conference, taking place from Feb. 13-15, 2018 in Saskatoon, Sask. It’s an incredible opportunity for both CAAR members and non-members to come together in the heart of the Prairies and celebrate our ever-evolving industry.

The CAAR Conference highlights agri-retailers like no other conference can. By focusing on the business of agri-retail, the conference planning committee has cultivated a speaker program that directly dives into the needs of agri-retailers and what your grower customers need to know. With more than 50 exhibiting companies expected, the tradeshow floor will be packed with suppliers looking to answer your questions and solve your problems. For more information on the CAAR Conference, turn to page 8 for a preview, or visit caar.org for complete details.

CAAR’s network continues to grow and The Communicator team was excited to connect with AgLink Canada for this issue. Visit page 12 to learn more about their newly-formed partnership amongst independent agri-retails and their commitment to CAAR.

That word ‘commitment’ reminds me of the commitment of this magazine to bring you the stories of the successes, challenges and advancements of this industry. That’s a pledge you can help us fulfill.

Lend us your voice and share your input so we can better tell your stories. If you have ideas for the content you’d like to see in the pages of a future issue, or a story or issue you think your fellow members need to know about, please reach out to me. The Communicator is truly your magazine, and we look forward to bringing you more agri-retail-focused content in the new year.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season,

Lynda Nicol
