The 2017 CAAR Conference marks the 10th annual CAAR’s Choice Awards. These prestigious awards are presented annually at the conference and recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication and contributions of CAAR members throughout the ag industry.

The winners of the awards receive a free trip to the conference, which includes travel and accommodations at the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Recipients are given a complimentary pass to the conference, a prize valued at $1,000 and coverage throughout The Communicator, the CAAR Network, caar.org, produceandprotect.com,

CAAR’s social media channels and a local media release.

“We are very pleased to once again, shine a spotlight on the hard-working and innovative members of CAAR,” says Burtnack. “The CAAR’s Choice Awards recipients are dedicated and passionate about this industry, and that’s important to celebrate.”

The CAAR’s Choice Awards are only open to CAAR members, giving them a leg-up and distinctive competitive edge in today’s evolving ag industry.

Every year, members of the ag industry are invited to nominate a deserving agri-retail location or individual in any of the following categories:

  • Agronomist of the Year: The Agronomist of the Year award recognizes a CAAR member agronomist who consistently exceeds expectations through dedication to their field and their agronomic knowledge.
  • Retailer of the Year: Established in 2008, the Retailer of the Year award is presented to one CAAR member location that went above and beyond to serve its customers.
  • Retailer Hall of Fame: The Retailer Hall of Fame award highlights an individual from one member location who has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication over time.
  • 4R Nutrient Stewardship Agri-Retailer Award: Introduced in 2013, the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Agri-Retailer Award honours a team member at one member location that has shown leadership in the adoption of 4R Nutrient Stewardship into their business practices.

Come celebrate the achievements of the industry’s best and brightest over a delicious banquet dinner at the CAAR’s Choice Awards Banquet on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. With the evening entertainment provided by Canadian comedian, Darrin Rose, the 10th annual CAAR’s Choice Awards is one of the most anticipated events at the 2017 CAAR Conference.
