Celebrate Canada’s Agriculture Day on Feb. 16, 2017 with friends, colleagues and CAAR! The first of its kind, this unique day was created by Agriculture More Than Ever and will coincide with the 2017 CAAR Conference.

To highlight and support Canada’s Agriculture Day, CAAR will be hosting a special – and delicious – breakfast for conference attendees that day.

“The intent behind the day is really to bring everybody who’s a part of the ag industry together, and for us to turn up the volume on all of the great things that are happening across Canadian ag,” says Candace Hill, the manager at Agriculture More Than Ever. “This is a day where everybody can come together and know that there are people right across the country who are stepping up and turning up the volume to amplify the great story that we have to tell about Canadian ag.”

Hill says some people are participating by using social media to share photos, videos and blog posts about their stories in Canadian ag, while others are planning special events. Those planning special events are encouraged to post them on agriculturemorethanever.ca to help spread the word and get others involved.

“We have purposely not put any parameters around the day because we truly want people to make it their own,” she says. “We ask that people really speak up and speak positively about Canadian ag, and if possible, reach out to people outside of the industry who may have questions about ag, farming and where food comes from. This is an opportunity for groups and individuals to look for ways to celebrate and participate in the conversation.”

Come support the industry you know and love at the biggest agri-retail event of the year – the 2017 CAAR Conference! Be sure to share the story of ag with others by using the hashtag #CdnAgDay.
