Alberta Cleanfarms Empty Bag Collection

Included in its many provisions, the Quebec legislation places regulatory obligations on companies who supply products and packaging to farmers.

The legislation is similar to those in other jurisdictions and aims to keep a wide variety of ag plastics out of the environment and reincorporated into the economy, aligning with the agricultural sector’s commitment to good end-of-life stewardship.

Cleanfarms has prepared a webpage to provide industry (brand owners, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors) with a summary of where regulated extended producer responsibility (EPR) obligations are in place for different types of ag plastic in different provinces.

The webpage shows that membership in Cleanfarms allows suppliers to meet their provincial regulatory obligations in Quebec and elsewhere.

Visit the Cleanfarms webpage for an overview.
