Stratus Ag Research asked 800 farmers about the services they receive from their ag retailer, and the analysis shows how retailers have more influence when they deliver more services.
Nearly two-thirds of farmers with more than six services from their main retailer say that the retailer has a strong influence on their crop protection decisions.
The impact of services varies. Field scouting, product performance comparisons, cost comparisons and crop planning services have the most impact on the retailer’s ability to influence customers.
The report digs into those key services:
- How many farmers are receiving each service?
- How many wish their retailer offered it?
- How useful is the service?
- How much impact does it have on retailer influence?
