The annual general meeting of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA) will be held Feb. 25-26 at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, Ont. The agenda for this year’s meeting has a strong focus on the future of the sector in looking at new technologies and consumer expectations.

The theme of the 2020 Annual General Meeting is “Producing Prosperity for the Next Decade” and will focus on the future of farming and food and how Canadian agriculture can adapt and prosper in the upcoming decade. This is a continuation of last year’s message and builds on the CFA’s Producing Prosperity in Canada campaign.

If you cannot attend in person, a webcast will go live when the AGM begins. Please visit the CFA website for the link.

The agenda for the two-day event features future-looking discussion panels on topics such as consumer messaging, communicating with urban Canadians about ag, and the future for rules-based trade, along with keynotes by elected officials and industry updates from RBC, Farm Credit Canada, World Farmers’ Organization, and Canadian Agricultural Safety Association.
