Alberta Barley, Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers, and Alberta Wheat Commission are working together to continue the legacy of Agronomy Update.

The annual conference, which provides timely agronomy information to producers and agronomists, has traditionally been a two-day, in-person event hosted by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. Stakeholders from all links of the value chain look forward to the event as an opportunity to engage with industry experts and learn the latest agronomic information.

Agronomy Update 2021 is going virtual from January 19 to 20. Due to current COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, a virtual platform was chosen to not only ensure the safety of our community but also to allow increased engagement from across Alberta.

Register today to ensure you don’t miss Agronomy Update 2021: Virtual Edition!
Learn about the latest information for farmers, agronomists and industry partners from the comfort of your own home. How plants respond to biotic and abiotic pressures, which diseases and insect pests may be of concern for 2021, and if weed phenology can influence management options, are just a few topics being covered. Additionally, a panel will discuss how they adapt to modern-day challenges in a reduced-tillage system.

This two-day conference is an excellent opportunity for education and networking. Extra Q&A sessions have been built into the program to allow participants to ask additional questions to presenters and discuss agronomy topics amongst themselves.

Continuing Education Units will be available for Certified Crop Advisors. Pesticide Applicator and Certified Crop Science Consultant credits will be requested.

Virtual Event Cost: $40 + GST
