On October 25, 2022, Health Canada published a Notice of Intent ( NOI2022-01) to inform stakeholders of its intention to disclose the names of applicants and registrants for certain pest control product regulatory activities.

The disclosure of names would occur when an application is under review and a decision is pending. This initiative aligns with the Government of Canada’s commitment in August 2021 to improve the transparency of the review process for pesticides.

Notice of Intent NOI2022-01 is a consultation document to inform the Canadian public and stakeholders. The PMRA will consider written comments on this consultation up to 30 days, the deadline for comment is November 24, 2022.
