The Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers (CAAR) recognized some of the industry’s best and brightest at the CAAR’s Choice Awards, hosted at their conference in Saskatoon, Sask.

The peer-nominated awards, which included Agronomist of the Year, Agri-Retailer of the Year and 4R Nutrient Stewardship Agri-Retailer, were presented to CAAR members who have shown dedication to their practice and the agriculture industry over the past year.

“Canada’s agri-retailers are a passionate, skilled group of people,” said CAAR president and CEO Delaney Ross Burtnack. “These awards are our way of acknowledging the hard work and exceptional customer service of our members. They also provide the community with insight as to what’s being accomplished, and who is making strides in the agri-retail sector.”

Members of the agri-retail community who wish to learn more about the accomplishments of this year’s winners can look out for the May issue of CAAR’s magazine, The Communicator. A profile of each award recipient will be included in the upcoming publication.

“In the agri-retail sector, there’s a lot of focus on sharing our stories,” said Burtnack. “It’s important to recognize exceptional efforts, share successes and help each other to overcome challenges. In doing so, we grow as a community, and improve our ability to support the industry that feeds the world.”
