The European Union Commission plans to issue an 18 month extension for glyphosate, after EU member states failed to reach a consensus on authorization renewal.

On Tuesday, only two days before EU authorization on the herbicide was set to expire, Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis committed to extending its current approval.
