The Province of Manitoba has released a new soil viewer called AgriMaps. This new tool allows users to access soil information and will help producers, agronomists and growers make more informed land management decisions.

AgriMaps is available online at http://agrimaps.gov.mb.ca/agrimaps/

Users can select various different scales of available soil data in the province, while also measuring different data layers like rural municipalities, drain order maps and watershed boundaries. The information on the site can also be printed with an air photo background so hills, trees and rivers can be seen.

The Province is also developing a soil and weather viewer, which will allow users to view all the soil and weather information available in Manitoba. Information can be found by searching by legal land description, river lot or towns. The soil and weather viewer is expected shortly and will be posted on http://www.gov.mb.ca/agriculture/land/print,land-map-viewers.html once it is available.
