The Canadian 4R Research Network is advancing the industry-led 4R Nutrient Stewardship program with cutting-edge research from the top scientists in the field.

This live webinar will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at noon EST.

The principles of 4R Nutrient Stewardship - applying fertilizer at the Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, and Right Place® - are being studied to determine the economic, social and environmental benefits of innovative 4R fertilizer management practices.

This webinar will give an overview of 4R Research in Saskatchewan, including projects under the 4R Research Network. Dr. Jeff Schoenau is a leading researcher at the University of Saskatchewan will highlight his project under the 4R Research Network, investigating the Right Place of Phosphorus fertilizer to identify best management practices that limit snowmelt phosphorus losses from farms in the Prairies. Dr. Richard Farrell of the University of Saskatchewan will speak to the role of 4R Nutrient Stewardship in nitrogen management, and demonstrate how 4R practices can reduce emissions of nitrous oxide, a potent greenhouse gas, from your farm.
