Savvy Farmer has created a new app to help producers and retailers handle herbicide resistance in Western Canada.

With over 40 weed species now herbicide resistant to one, if not many different brands of herbicide modes of action, the new app, Savvy Resistance Manager, will identify which herbicide brands will control herbicide resistant weeds in any crop.

The app will generate a list of all Canadian herbicide brands that are registered to control the user's resistant weed in any one of 900 crops, using the preferred herbicide application method. Savvy Resistance Manager is powered by the Savvy Farmer pest control database, allowing the user to search over 1,500 Canadian pesticide brands and 900 crops, helping them identify every brand that can control the herbicide resistant weed - even if it's resistant to multiple chemistries.
