BASF recently purchased ZedX, which deals with the development of digital agricultural intelligence.

The purchase deal was agreed upon after a three-year collaboration of working together in order to develop improved prediction models for BASF crop production products. The pilot collaboration began in Canada and the US and has since reached Europe.

ZedX, based in Pennsylvania, will use the models to predict when a target enemy will appear, where and with what level of severity. From there, BASF will design the appropriate application recommendation which will then appear on the label.
