Announcement to the Members of CAAR

Dear CAAR Members,

Last week, CAAR’s President and CEO, Delaney Ross Burtnack, advised the board of directors that she is resigning from the association effective July 21, 2017.

Since joining CAAR in July of 2007, Delaney has been a true leader for the organization. Her commitment to the success and sustainability of the association, its members, and the agri-retail industry has been exemplary and we are grateful for her efforts. While it is with sadness that we see her go, we wish her the very best on her next venture as the Executive Director with the Manitoba Canola Growers Association.

In the next few weeks, CAAR’s executive council, the CAAR team, and Delaney are working together to identify key tasks for completion ahead of her departure. The board of directors are confident that the transition will be seamless as we open the next chapter in CAAR’s leadership. To that end, the executive council has begun implementation of a transition strategy including recruitment to find the best candidate for this position. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

On behalf of the board of directors and staff I want to extend our congratulations and sincerely thank Delaney for her contributions to the association.

Thank you for your ongoing support of CAAR. CAAR staff, committees, and directors have been working diligently in recent months as they participate in a number of industry initiatives and shape the future of CAAR. We look forward to sharing our progress with you.

Best regards,

Martin Kiefer
CAAR Board Chair
