CAAR extends warm congratulations to MK Agro Ltd., located near Brunkild, MB – winner of ADAMA’s 2018 Thank-A-Retailer contest. As the Manitoba Regional Winner and overall National Winner, MK Agro received a total of $30,000 to spend on projects in their community. They have chosen to donate their prize money to Kelly Kabernick Girls High School Hockey Memorial Scholarship and the Sanford Hockey Arena.

Fertilizer Canada is hosting a webinar outlining the implementation process for the Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) Security Code of Practice. The webinar will provide crucial information for any retailers who transport, store, handle and/or sell CAN.

The webinar will be held on Tuesday March 20 and registration is open until Thursday March 15.

Fertilizer Canada and the Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers (CAAR) would like to reassure farmers about the supply of nurse tanks for applying anhydrous ammonia fertilizer this spring.

The Manitoba winter nutrient application ban is in full effect until April 10, 2018. CAAR needs input from Manitoba agronomists as the association prepares to meet with an advisory group to discuss variances to the April 10 date.
