• The Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers (CAAR) congratulates the newly appointed federal cabinet and the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau on her re-appointment as Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.

  • CAAR is now accepting nominations for its 2022-23 Board of Directors which will be confirmed during our AGM—during the 2022 CAAR Conference.

  • CAAR members may be interested in attending the US Sustainable Agronomy Conference designed for Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs), Agri-Sales Professionals, and growers which starts today, July 20, 2021.

  • CAAR members are encouraged to participate in the following Keep it Clean Pre-Harvest Tips Webinar for timely pre-harvest tips and tools to protect the marketability of Canada’s canola, cereal and pulse crops on Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at 11AM CDT (10 a.m. CST & MDT).

  • The business environment is changing for Canadian agribusiness, and so too membership associations are being driven to change to accommodate members. Agribusinesses are increasingly beginning to scrutinize which associations they choose to be part of and support. This has more to do with their time constraints and value added, rather than annual dues and participation costs. Selection of membership associations is now more based on alignment with members’ strategic goals and representation and support of the ag industry.

  • Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) will host a virtual presentation regarding the 2021 Medium Term Outlook (MTO) for Canadian and international agricultural markets.

The MTO is an analytical tool that provides a baseline projection for supply and disposition of major crops, livestock, dairy, poultry, feed, cereal and oilseed sectors over a ten-year period, 2020-2030, based on current policies, macroeconomic and agricultural market environment.

  • The CAAR Board of Directors, Committees and Staff thank all CAAR Members for supporting the association.

As a member-driven and a not-for-profit association representing Canada’s ag retailers, every member makes a difference and strengthens the voice of CAAR.

  • Save the Date: February 8th to 10th, 2022. It’s been a crazy 18 months, making it harder to connect and network with those in the agri-retail space. One of CAAR’s greatest membership advantages is bringing CAAR members together!  The Conference Committee has been hard at work, preparing for the 2022 conference.

  • CAAR members can now access CAARCON 2022 presentations including keynote and educational speakers. Please note, you can only access the link once you are logged in to caar.org as a member.
