CSTA to Host AGM Online

For the first time ever, the Canadian Seed Trade Association (CSTA) will be holding its Annual General Meeting online. Log in on Wednesday, July 15 from 1-3:30 p.m. to hear remarks from CSTA’s president and staff members, along with an extensive discussion of the Seed Synergy Collaboration Project and consolidation vote.

Manitoba Open Farm Day is Sunday, September 15, 2019

Manitoba Open Farm Day is an annual, family-friendly event held at various sites across the province. Every year, on the third Sunday in September, farms and ag businesses open their doors to the public, giving them an opportunity to see how their food is produced, and learn more about environmental stewardship and the history of farming in the province. Taking part for the first time this year is one of the branches of Shur-Gro, a CAAR member.

Environmental Stewardship at Ag in Motion

Ag in Motion kicks off today, it is the largest agricultural trade show in Western Canada, providing a venue for progressive farmers who want to see and experience the latest agricultural innovations. This year, visitors to the Ag in Motion site might notice some new environmental stewardship initiatives “AIM”ed at fighting the spread of clubroot and reducing waste.
