Transport Canada Releases Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Safety Advisory

CAAR is advising its members that Transport Canada has recently released a Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Safety Advisory regarding the Effects of Additives in Anhydrous Ammonia Nurse Tanks or Delivery Tanks. No Variance Issued for Nutrient Application Ban

Manitoba retailers and producers are advised that the Nutrient Application Ban will be implemented as scheduled, and there will be no provincial variance issued.

Nutrients cannot be applied on or after November 10, 2019.

The winter nutrient application ban applies to nutrient sources containing nitrogen and/or phosphorus, including livestock manure and inorganic fertilizer, and will remain in place until April 10, 2020.

Member Feedback Requested: Fee Modernization for TDG Means of Containment Facilities Registration Program

CAAR is requesting member feedback to Transport Canada's proposed new fees relating to Transportation of Dangerous Goods Means of Containment Facilities Registration Program.

Please review the two documents included below (Discussion Document and FAQ), and provide your comments to CAAR by Tuesday, November 6, 2018. CAAR will consolidate all comments received by this date and forward them to Transport Canada for consideration.
