Nurse tank

Due to updates in the 2020 CSA B620 standard, all previously issued training certificates expired in November 2023, regardless of their issuance date. Consequently, everyone must undergo recertification. Any online training completed through CAAR or other organizations since November 2023 needs to be repeated.

Recertification under the NTSP is mandatory for individuals using the CAAR NTSCC QC Manual for inspecting and testing NH3 nurse tanks and TC51 tanks. Certified Nurse Tank Inspectors are no longer eligible to complete self-paced courses for recertification. However, CAAR has been authorized to conduct recertification training via Microsoft Teams.

Please note, this recertification course is exclusively available to those who were previously certified under CSA B620-14.

CAAR is offering training on Friday, July 26, 2024 and Wednesday, August 7, 2024.  Both sessions will start at 9:00am – 2:00pm CDST

For verification of eligibility and registration for Nurse Tank Safety Recertification, please reach out to Lisa Siragusa at training@caar.org.

New trainees must attend the NTSP Tank Inspector Training course in person, scheduled for September.
