According to recent data released by AEM, total agricultural tractor sales in Canada have declined 28.2% year-to-date compared to 2023.
In comparison, the United States experienced a slight increase in unit sales of 100+ horsepower agricultural tractors in February 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, with a rise of 2.8%. Year-to-date figures reveal a downturn in total units of agricultural tractors and combined sold compared to 2023. Agricultural tractor sales declined by 14.2%, while combined sales dropped by 18.9%.
Curt Blades, AEM’s Senior Vice President, highlighted the positive trend in combined sales in Canada and the uptick in sales of 100+ horsepower agricultural tractors in the U.S. and expressed optimism for the industry’s long-term strength.
