As you may know, Cleanfarms’ collection programs are currently undergoing several changes:

  • Empty pesticide, fertilizer, and container collection sites (23L and up) are gradually shifting away from municipal sites and toward ag retailers. These changes occur community-by-community following one-on-one outreach to the municipalities and ag retailers. Details can be found here.
  • The collection of seeds, pesticides, and inoculant bags is ramping up with increased accessibility. Cleamfarms proposes that these bags (along with the one-way, non-deposit bulk containers (23L & over), be designed under its government-approved program plan to put the administration in place to ensure long-term program delivery.

These changes will give farmers a single collection point for all these materials.

To learn more about these changes, please review Cleanfarms’ program plan.
