Ron Helwer, a visionary agribusiness leader, will be recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to the fertilizer industry.

As CAAR members may know, his company, Shur Gro Farm Services, has become one of Canada’s most effective independent fertilizer operations. Helwer also founded the Canadian Association of Agricultural Retailers and strongly believes in supporting agricultural education.

The induction ceremony will take place on November 4 in Charlottetown, PEI, and celebrate the achievements and impact of these exceptional agricultural leaders. Helwer was inducted along with six other honourees: Garnet Altwasser, John Bragg, Rory Francis, Marcel Groleau, Robert Irving, and Ray Robertson.
