- The Wheat Growers have offered "cautious support" to the grain grading changes announced by the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC), which will take effect on August 1. 
- Canada is getting involved in the trade dispute settlement between the U.S. and Mexico, asking for dispute settlement consultations with Mexico under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). 
- The amendments are primarily administrative, with some related to aligning the Explosives Regulations with other regulations and policy. 
- The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) approved new pesticides for use in Canada on May 16, 2023. 
- The Canadian Government announced the extension of the Agri-Food Pilot, which helps facilitate the transition of experienced workers in agricultural and food industries to permanent residence in Canada. The Pilot will now run until May 14, 2025; it was launched in May 2020.
