The Wheat Growers have offered "cautious support" to the grain grading changes announced by the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC), which will take effect on August 1. 

Canada is getting involved in the trade dispute settlement between the U.S. and Mexico, asking for dispute settlement consultations with Mexico under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The amendments are primarily administrative, with some related to aligning the Explosives Regulations with other regulations and policy.

The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) approved new pesticides for use in Canada on May 16, 2023.

The Canadian Government announced the extension of the Agri-Food Pilot, which helps facilitate the transition of experienced workers in agricultural and food industries to permanent residence in Canada. The Pilot will now run until May 14, 2025; it was launched in May 2020.
