It is with great pride that CAAR announces Ron Helwer is a 2023 inductee into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.
Ron Helwer, a visionary agribusiness leader, will be recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to the fertilizer industry.
As CAAR members may know, his company, Shur Gro Farm Services, has become one of the most effective independent fertilizer operations in Canada. Helwer was also instrumental in founding the Canadian Association of Agricultural Retailers and strongly believes in supporting agricultural education.
The induction ceremony will take place on November 4 in Charlottetown, PEI, celebrating the achievements and impact of these exceptional agricultural leaders. Helwer was inducted along with 6 other honourees: Garnet Altwasser, John Bragg, Rory Francis, Marcel Groleau, Robert Irving, and Ray Robertson.
