Through the new Canadian Agricultural Youth Council, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is providing an opportunity for Canadians 18-30 to help shape the future of the agriculture and agri-food sector.

Launched by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on January 24, 2020, the new Canadian Agricultural Youth Council will allow the next generation of leaders to share their personal experiences, unique perspectives, and innovative ideas on how to tackle new issues facing youth in the agriculture and agri-food sector.

The council will provide advice on new and emerging issues, share information and best practices, provide advice on the strengths and weaknesses of policies and programs affecting the agriculture and agri-food sectors, and enable on-going dialogue on food-related challenges and opportunities.

Please share with members of your staff or community who you think might fit the bill – young people representing the entire supply chain who are passionate about sharing their ideas and meet the criteria below are encouraged to apply.
